About Us

This school was founded by late very Rev. Msgn. Francis Akukwe in 1991. The school started as a vocational centre with many skills each aimed at making a graduant self-employed and self reliance.

The school took off as St Edward’s social centre Eziowelle, which after some years was changed to her present name Queen of the Rosary comprehensive Secondary school Eziowelle.’’

Sr. Florence Ugwumba was officially the first principal of the school in 1991. Sr. Florence Ugwumba handed over to Sr. Beatrice ugwu the second principal of the school on 11th September 1992. On 14th November 1995 Sr. Justina Adogu arrived at the school.

On 7th December 1995 a team of inspectors from the state’s ministry of education visited the school on the approval inspection.

On 7th of March 1996 the school got approval from the ministry of education Awka for Junior Secondary Certificate Examinations (JSCE). On 21st of May 1996 there was another team of inspectors from the state ministry of education for upgrading inspection. Two months later on 17th of October 1996 another WAEC/SSCE team of inspectors came for confirmation inspection, the team were the WAEC branch controller Mr. J.M.N Obiadi and S. Olatunde Awokunle. Queen of the rosary comprehensive secondary school Eziowelle today stands a star among many school in the state both in academics, games and sports.

Presently with better administration and management the school is finding her feet.
